AFTER A HOSPITAL STAY

Help them recover safely at home after a hospital stay

The first weeks home bring new medicines, follow-up visits and a lot to remember. ManoHealth’s doctors, nurses and Health Advocate help your loved one in the Philippines settle back in, and keep you updated every step of the way.

THE DAY-TO-DAY REALITY

The first weeks home matter most

And they’re hard to manage when you can’t be there.

Follow-ups to keep

Check-ups and lab tests the hospital asked for.

Getting around

Weakness, stairs and a higher risk of falling.

Worry from afar

Not knowing if they’re getting better, or if something’s wrong.

HEAR FROM FAMILIES

In their own words

Families share what it’s like to have a team looking after their loved one’s recovery back home.

“As a patient, I felt the compassion of their team, Ruth, their neuro specialist and the physical therapist. They explained everything as if we’ve been long time friends.”

WHEN TO GET HELP

Signs that need attention right away

In the first weeks home, some changes can be serious. Share these with everyone who cares for your loved one.

Call their doctor

  • A fever, or a wound that looks red or swollen
  • New or worse pain
  • Not eating, drinking or taking their medicines

Call 911 right away

  • Trouble breathing or chest pain
  • Sudden confusion, or weakness on one side
  • A bad fall or fainting

In an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest hospital first. ManoHealth supports your loved one’s care, but is not an emergency service.

QUESTIONS

Common questions from families

Is ManoHealth an emergency hotline?

No. ManoHealth is not an emergency hotline and does not provide emergency care. In an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest hospital right away. Once your loved one has arrived at the hospital, their Health Advocate can step in to help, keeping you updated and coordinating the next steps in their care.

Can they keep seeing their own doctor?

Yes. Their Health Advocate can book and go with them to appointments with the doctors they already see, and share updates with you.

When should we reach out?

As soon as you know they’re coming home, or any time after. On a free call, we’ll help plan their first weeks at home.

Can the Health Wallet help with costs?

Yes, with your approval. Qualified expenses include prescription medicines, visits with specialists and physical therapists, lab tests, rides to appointments and equipment like a wheelchair, walker or commode.

What if they have a question at night?

They can reach a doctor 24/7 by app, video call or landline. For an emergency, call 911 first.
