Hard to follow

WHEN TO GET HELP
Signs that need attention right away
During treatment, some changes can be serious. Share these with everyone who cares for your loved one.
Call their cancer team or go to the hospital
- A fever, especially during chemotherapy
- Bleeding or bruising that won’t stop
- Vomiting or diarrhea that won’t stop
Call 911 right away
- Trouble breathing or chest pain
- Sudden confusion or can’t stay awake
- Fainting or a seizure
In an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest hospital first. ManoHealth supports your loved one’s care, but is not an emergency service.
QUESTIONS
Common questions from families
Is ManoHealth an emergency hotline?
No. ManoHealth is not an emergency hotline and does not provide emergency care. In an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest hospital right away. Once your loved one has arrived at the hospital, their Health Advocate can step in to help, keeping you updated and coordinating the next steps in their care.
Can they keep seeing their own doctor?
Yes. Their Health Advocate can book and go with them to appointments with the doctors they already see, and share updates with you.
Can the Health Wallet help with costs?
Yes, with your approval. Qualified expenses include prescription medicines, visits with specialists, lab tests, counseling sessions, rides to appointments and equipment like a wheelchair.
Do you replace their cancer doctor?
No. Their cancer doctor stays in charge of their treatment. ManoHealth supports them around it, with home visits, check-ins, appointments and updates for you.
What if they have a question at night?
They can reach a doctor 24/7 by app, video call or landline. For an emergency, call 911 first.
