HEAR FROM FAMILIES

In their own words

Families share what it’s like to have a team looking after their loved one’s recovery back home.

“As a patient, I felt the compassion of their team, Ruth, their neuro specialist and the physical therapist. They explained everything as if we’ve been long time friends.”

SIGNS TO WATCH FOR

When to talk to a doctor

Some forgetfulness comes with age. These changes are worth a check-up, and some need help right away.

Book a doctor visit

  • Forgetting recent conversations or repeating questions
  • Getting lost in familiar places
  • Trouble with money, bills or medicines
  • Changes in mood or personality

Get help right away

  • Confusion that starts suddenly, over hours or days
  • Trouble speaking, or weakness on one side
  • A fall or injury
  • They’ve wandered off and can’t be found

In an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest hospital first. ManoHealth supports your loved one’s care, but is not an emergency service.

QUESTIONS

Common questions from families

Is ManoHealth an emergency hotline?

No. ManoHealth is not an emergency hotline and does not provide emergency care. In an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest hospital right away. Once your loved one has arrived at the hospital, their Health Advocate can step in to help, keeping you updated and coordinating the next steps in their care.

Can they keep seeing their own doctor?

Yes. Their Health Advocate can book and go with them to appointments with the doctors they already see, and share updates with you.

Do they need a dementia diagnosis to join?

No. If you’ve noticed changes in memory, our doctor can check on them at home and help arrange a visit with a specialist if needed.

Can the Health Wallet help with costs?

Yes, with your approval. Qualified expenses include prescription medicines, visits with specialists, lab tests, rides to appointments and equipment like a walker or commode.

Is this a live-in caregiver?

No. ManoHealth does not provide a live-in caregiver. We work alongside the family or caregiver at home, with doctor and nurse visits, a Health Advocate and updates for you.

What if they have a question at night?

They can reach a doctor 24/7 by app, video call or landline. For an emergency, call 911 first.

You don’t have to handle this alone
